The SPCA is also looking for maintenance people to help with small maintenance projects in the shelter and also some help with yard work: Weed eating, tree trimmimg etc.
Community Outreach Ambassador: Do you love connecting with people and sharing your passion for animal welfare. We have the position for you! We are currently seeking friendly volunteers who can help us share with the community about the programs and services we offer. You, an ambassador, will help to host an outreach booth at local community events, paired with a BC SPCA staff member
Skills/Experience: • Ability to work independently • Dependable and committed People-oriented • At ease talking to booth visitors at community events • Multiple languages spoken a valued asset (please indicate languages in application) Responsibilities: • Attending community events on behalf of the BC SPCA • Increasing community support for the BC SPCA through recruiting members of the community to become volunteers, members and/or donors.
Transport Animals: Drivers play a critical role in transporting our animals to and from local veterinary clinics for their spay and neuter appointments, and to events where they will be showcased for adoption.
Workshop Hosts: Host a series of engaging workshops with the goal of providing innovative animal welfare training to new volunteers.
Recruitment Assistant: Volunteers assist with screening applicants and matching them to the most suitable volunteer position.
