Community Connections

Volunteer Centre

Connecting People. Strengthening Community.

The SOS Volunteer Centre Society was founded in 2006 to support and promote volunteerism throughout the South Okanagan Similkameen. In 2023, we changed our name to South Okanagan Similkameen Community Connections Volunteer Centre to better reflect the growing range of services and support we provide to our community.

South Okanagan Similkameen Community Connections Volunteer Centre

or (SOSCCVC) as we like to call ourselves, brings people and organizations together through meaningful volunteer opportunities. We help connect individuals with causes they care about while supporting more than 110 non-profit organizations in finding, engaging, and celebrating volunteers.

Together, we are building a more connected, vibrant, and thriving place to live—where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and make a difference.

OUR MISSION

To Strengthen communities across the South Okanagan Similkameen by connecting people and organizations through meaningful volunteer engagement,

OUR VISION

A connected and thriving region where every individual is empowered to contribute, and community participation strengthens the well-being of all.

OUR PURPOSE

To inspire, support, and engage volunteers and organizations by creating accessible opportunities, fostering collaboration and encouraging meaningful community connections.
