Youth-Can Project

Are you a young person between the ages of 15-29?

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community but not sure where to start? ​ Join the Youth-CAN pilot project with the South Okanagan Similkameen Community Connections Volunteer Centre!   Youth-Can puts the decision power in youth's hands to impact their community.  ​ We are recruiting Youth at this time to start and launch this project. ​ 1.Participants will get to discuss what is needed in the community. 2.You will gain leadership and event planning opportunities. 3.You will increase your network in the community. 4.You get to work collaboratively with other like-minded youth. 5.You will get Volunteer hours to support your school and career goals. 6.Gain references upon the successful conclusion of your participation with our youth team. 7.Best of all, enjoyment and amazing memories of group volunteering in the community. Graduation Requirement

Community connections staff are avaible to assist youth in finding volunteer roles that will work with their schedule, interest and provide a resume reference. 

Graduation requirement of 30 hours of community service.
